I'm at FT HOOD this weekend and thinking of driving down to Austin on my time off.

I hear 6th Street is where to go for music, but Baby A is where to go for drinks.

Any ideas and anyone hanging out, let me know.

I may come down Friday and/or Saturday (1 and 2 April).

The good music has pretty much branched out from 6th Street to the surrounding areas such as Red River. The best live venues are mostly not on 6th anymore.

What kind of music do you dig?

I probably want to hear something different.

I can go for just about anything, but I'm hoping to find somewhere that plays original music.

That's not all the clubs but it's a start. For jazz I like to hang at the Elephant Room when I'm down there. They have a website.
