Average warranty repair turnaround time?
I've had an amplifier out for repair under warranty, and it'll be a month as of this coming Saturday. Is that normal to take that long, or are expectations too high? I've never had anything done under warranty before.
Warranty repairs of any kind are particularily tricky since whoever does the repair, has to use only the parts and methods supplied by the manufacturer. Otherwise the warranty will be void.
Some manufacturers are better than for example the most praised manufacturer on TB ;), but if their supplier(s) runs into problems, there's not much they can do even if they wanted to.
That's because practically no-one actually manufactures any parts on site anymore, it's just assembling bits and pieces gathered from various sources.
A breeze when everything works as planned, possibly a death blow when the manure hits the propeller.
IMLE 6 months is the norm, even though I wouldn't quite accept it if I was in Your shoes.
Thanks Sam! I'll keep that in mind from now on. And for the record it's a GK MB212.
