Back line rental in Maine?

Sign in to disble this ad
ellow bassists,

I'm traveling out to New England in November and I can't for the life of me find any places that where I can rent some gear for a few days.

I'm hoping to rent (or borrow) a guitar amp: Something in the Fender department with tubes.

A bass cabinet. Preferably a 4x10 by Eden or SWR or similar.

Anyone know of any businesses that do this sort of thing? Google hasn't been very helpful. I'm flying into Boston, and don't have a problem getting stuff from there and then driving it up to Maine.

Thanks for any and all information.

-Pat

Buckdancer's Choice in Portland (exact address: 248 St. John's St. Union Plaza) would be my first recommendation. Call 'em up: 207-774-2219

There's a GC and a Daddy's in the area as well, but I'm not sure how much luck you'd have with them.

Out of curiosity, where're you playing/what're you playing?

EDIT: Just checked your website. I'll be in Maine on those dates... and while it may not be what you're looking for, I could definitely lend you my Orange OBC-115 if you're really in a tight spot.

Thanks so much for all of that info! I really appreciate it, and the offer of your amp is too kind. I'm going to try the rental route just because I don't want to put anybody in a bind if they get a last minute gig and need their gear.

Thanks again,
Pat
