backpacking through South America, looking for local bands and venues

Hi folks,
So here i am, having arrived in Buenos Aires. I´m passing through Bolivia, Peru and Columbia as well as Argentina for the next 5 months. Can anyone recommend any specific Cities, bars or bands that I should check out. I´m looking for live music- although club recommendations are also welcome if I can´t find a band. Thanks.
