im i the process of learning guitar, and i have a lesson next tuesday, and what im gonna start doing is alternating between bringing my guitar and my bass. However, after my last lesson was when i started, and i didnt mention to my teach that i want to learn guitar. Im wondering if it would be a bad idea for me to just show up with my acoustic, or if i should wait until next lesson to tell him and then wait until the week after? |

Worst case, he'll say that he's not ready to start the guitar until the next week and then you have your regular lesson and leave with everyone happy.

Otherwise, you can't blame him for an unproductive lesson.

Im gonna try it anyways though |

Don't just bring it in unannounced. Not fair to him.
