Bad news for ISIS fans

Sign in to disble this ad
First of all, please excuse me if this has been posted already.
I found out yesterday that one of my favorite bands has decided to cease making music . Here is the link:
http://isistheband.blogspot.com/2010...ed-end_18.html
On the one hand, I feel sorry for them because they made incredible music but on the other I respect them for not making the mistake that many other bands did before. Hopefully we get to hear from them soon.

Luckily I've already got tickets for their stop near me.

And I've seen them twicethree times before this. Bummer for the less fortunate, though.

edit: And it looks like I'll be at the final US show. Holy crap!

double edit: I've actually seen them three times.

Wish I could see them one last time. Sad times, but I totally respect the rationale behind this.

I feel lucky too for seeing them last year, considering the fact that they only played in my country twice. And to be on-topic, I will miss hearing Jeff's mind-blowing bass riffs as well.

I'm pretty much in tears right now. I was really getting into Type O Negative and Peter Steele died. Currently I'm going nuts listening to Isis the whole day and they decide to break up.

Guess I'll just follow Jeff Caxide and Aaron Turner to wherever they go from here on. But nothing can ever bring back Isis.

Bump for the last US show tonight.

I'll report back with a setlist, etc. sometime tomorrow.

I got to see them at Bonnaroo. Usually, I would have skipped it because the early afternoon shows are miserable with the heat, but I stuck it out, and they played great.

Wish I could have seen them. Only recently was introduced to them and would have loved to see them live.

Have to say, though, it'd be a hard pick between Mansfield in '06 and Portland '09. Being able to look up into space with live Isis as a soundtrack was incredible, but this was an unprecedented level of intensity (plus the setlist was amazing). No Celestial, but I got that last year, so no complaints.
