Bad Religion...still got it?

Not heard the new record yet, but its getting mixed reviews. Yes I know reviews are subjective and only one persons opinion etc, but for some reason, I'm anxious that it might be another album with too much filler.

For the record, I'm a long time fan and first got into them when Suffer came out. I think they peaked with the back-to-back blitzkrieg that was Recipe For Hate then Stranger Than Fiction...two albums of some of the most glorious punk rock melodies ever. Gregg Graffins lyrics are brilliant, Jay Bentleys bass tone is nasty and the 'oozin aah's are peerless.

Since then, there have been plenty of good records with great songs, but I worry they may have lost it. I hope I'm wrong.

Any other BR fans got any thoughts on this?

I love all BR, but Generator and Against the Grain are really great!! Haven't heard anything from the new disc.

Im part of there mailing list, they sent out a new song. it had a stranger than fiction feel to it. While not a bad thing, I would love for them to go more Recipe for Hate again...

P.S I saw them in 2011, still rock, HARD!

Yes I saw them in 2011 and they were just brilliant. I can cope with another STF/RFH style release

"There's a hammer by the window There's a knife on the floor ... Like turbines in darkness Like the blood on my door ... It's the generator"

What a great song ...

"There's a flower behind the window ... There's an ugly laughing man ... Like a hummingbird in silence ... Like the blood on the door ... It's the generator"

I'd quote the entire lyrics to 'American Jesus' but I fear it would be a blatant flouting of TB rules
