I've been thinking about band logos for a little while now and thought I'd canvas your opinions about what makes a good band logo, and any notable examples you can think of.
Does your band have a logo? Is it words, or a picture, or both? Was it done by computer (with fonts?), or by hand?
I think Aerosmith has a cool logo, very distinctive and recognisable immediately. Jamiroquai's horned mascot is a non-word example. Heavier bands such as Metallica and Dream Theater have logos which are easily spotted.
My band is kind of jazz-funk influenced pop-rock, so I'm not really sure what angle to go at.
