If I saw a band called, "stacy i love you" on the bill... I would instantly hate them and not want to see them at all. So if you play the kind of music that you don't want people to hear, I'd say go with that.

Your current band name isn't bad... I'd say stick with it.

Stacy I love you sounds like emo along the lines of dashboard confessional. I don;t mind it, but it does tend to get whiny every once in a while.

'Stacy I love you' seems so temporary. If she's your girlfriend at the time you chose the name, chances are she won't be a couple of years down the road. And even if that's not where the name comes from, people will think it is

That and you'd get the "who's stacy" routine a couple of gazillion times.

Back to the subject, I think Mesh Radio is just fine. It will stick if you make it big, too.

Honestly, neither.

Pick a name that says something about yourselves. Two things here:

1. Any band name with radio in it including radio birdman is just feh. I would instatntly ditch the current name you have. You will be stuck with it forever and no one takes bands seriously with radio in their name, no matter how much you sound like the next big thing out of manchester UK.

2. Stacy, I love you? The only band with love in the name I can remember liking was House Of Love. You are condemning yourslef to emodom if you go with this name.

For your own sake, get creative. Think of a catch phrase from a movie you like or an artist you admire. In fact, "The Artist You Admire", gives you guys a Smith jag, which you are obviously going for. You are a good band, come up with a good name.

Good Luck
Jeff

I'd stay with Mesh Radio. It sounds cooler then the other one, even though I don't know what it means.

Well I don't, but ok they are the one excpetion, so everyone should jump on the bandwagon and start copying them. In fact, it's funny I thought of a about five radio named bands before them. In fact until you mentioned it, I had forgotten they existed. Thanks for that.

Stacy sounds to emo... unless you're an emo band.
