Band Shirts

So having had some downtime at work and being a Graphic Designer, I thought it may be fun to work on some ideas for band shirts.

I have come up with some designs that I like and want to get them on some shirts to see how they are received, one offs. The problem is that iron-ons look terrible and silk screening seems to cost a ton if I'm not having a bunch (60+) made.

Anyone have any cost effective solutions/suggestions?

Stencils and spray paint?

Check with your local community college and see if they have a weekend silk screening class. Here in San Diego one of the CCs has it and that's how my band used to get all of our shirts printed for the cost of the shirt ($2 a piece vs. anywhere from $4-$7 from a print shop)
