Actually, the video is of him singing it with another band.

For the record, Elvin Bishop is my mother's cousin. I have never met him though.

I think you can make a case for Deen Castronovo's voice being closer to Steve Perry's than their singer's voice. He only sings lead on a couple of songs, but he also does a lot of backing vocals.

Nice vocal range!
I can falsetto in that range but not for vary long before my voice gives out. I have always wanted to do "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" but I would have to bring it down a step to make it comfortable for me to sing.

Kansas has always had multiple lead singers in each lineup, some who came and went in the band a few times too, but always sounded great.

.38 Special has always been a two lead singer band but Don Barnes left for a while and was replaced by Max Carl, who is also very good and he now is with Grand Funk Railroad.
