I found them by accident and since have downloaded several songs from ITunes. Great band. I think they started out as a PinkFloyd cover band.

My musical taste is so incredibly incredibly obscure. If someone recognizes an artist on my Ipod, I immediately delete it.

Yet you have an iPod. If you want to be different get something no one else has. Zune maybe?

If I've heard several of the bands mentioned, do I get a prize?

Sounds like my college days: Mars, DNA, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, James Chance Got into Dictators more recently though.

You want obscure? Try "Blackhouse," some of the nastiest industrial music I ever heard.

Oh, shoot! Now that you guys have published the names, any self-respecting hipster will have to say those are too mainstream.

Zwan, this band included Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin of Smashing Pumpkins fame but the band kinda imploded after one album. That one album is one of my favorites of all time however

I really like their drummer. I wish I had gotten to see them before they split.

Reminds me of an old questionable content comic: the lesser known an indie band is, the better they are; therefore the best indie band is one that doesn't exist!
