Checked out No Means No? '80s-'90s punk trio from Canada, with heavy emphasis on a snarly, overdriven bass. Their album "Wrong" is a classic.

And even if it is a bit too obvious... I feel compelled to mention Big Black/Rapeman/Shellac and the Jesus Lizard.... and Bear Claw.

On a slightly mellower side, Dianogah.

On a far-out-wacky side, Thrones.

DFA1979, Lightning Bolt, Big Business, and OM are some of my favorite bands. Will definitely have to check out some of these other ones.

Check out True North, you might like them. And if you do, you can buy their two CDs for $0.99 each on No Idea Records website.

DFA1979 reunion at Coachella this year.

Have fun spending hundreds of dollars and wrestling with wasted tweens to see em.

Check out Brain Banger.

The side project of Nick, the bassist of Young Widows/Breather Resist.

It's Nick playing bass AND singing. Awesome distorty Jazz Bass tone!!

IMHO:

Breather Resist > Brain Banger > Young Widows
