sHEAVY is damn near a Sabbath clone, and completely unapologetic about it. Their singer sounds like Ozzy in his prime, maybe a little better.

Wolfmother dont have an original song. Just other songs chopped up and thrown together.

Emmure sounds like the Acacia Strain, and Suicide Silence sounds like Chelsea Grin.

If those guys from Lynyrd Skynyrd hadn't died in a plane crash, we wouldn't have ever heard of Molly Hatchet. It's like the label had them on the bench ready to go.

if you listen to modest mouse's radio hits then kind of maybe yes...but everything before good news for people who love bad news sounded NOTHING like franz ferdinand. listen to more of their catalog, theyre really a very diverse and interesting band. Rock solid bass and drum grooves, nothing showy but just solid stuff with a great feel to it.

Agreed.

Or the Verve Tonic for the Soul bands of the 90's.

There are a couple Yes songs that I always swear are Boston tunes, and vice versa.

to be honest, all thrash sound pretty similar. and yet, I could always listen to some good thrash. For some reason, thrash just tingles me in all the right places
