| Bands, what pa systems do you use??

I was wondering what kind of pa systems you guys use for practice and shows(at bars and clubs)? do you mic all your amps? drums? etc?
right now our post-hardcore/metal band needs a pa to practice with as well as do backyard/bar shows for at most 150 people. the guitarist uses a 100w 2x12 combo. and i use a 100w 15" combo. Both are easily heard over the drums. What wattage PA would we need to have vocals this loud. we would probobly need to have a mic for atleast the singer, the guitarist, and i. We have a budget of $1000 (excluding mics) to spend so we want to know what the best route is. Although, the louder, clearer, and more channels the better. |
