Bands without guitar/other high end instruments

There are quite a few well known bands without a bassist (White Stripes, Black Keys, etc), but I never seem to hear about any bands without a guitar player, and when I say that, I'm really thinking about bands with just drums, bass, and vox. Are there any good ones, or is treble really needed for music to sound 'complete'?

This thread comes up every 6 months or so.

Death From Above 1979, Clatter, Lullabye Arkestra (amazing!), Om, and many others.

None of those bands are lacking in treble, IMHO.

Niacin - Billy Sheehan, Dennis Chambers, and some guy (forget name) on B-3. Saw them at Bass Day, '99 (?). Awesome!

There was a band called womb about ten years ago that had Beeker from God forbid, didnt really sound that impressive considering they weren't as accomplished bass players as they are now.

Lots of grindcore bands are just drum and bass.
