Bang for buck guitar amp?

Im posting this for my guitarist because we have a seriously hard time hearing him with his berhinger 1x12. Its only a 3 piece band and we dont play that loud. I have tried to eq him to cut through but nothing works. I want to help him find a 2x12 combo amp for under $200. I was thinking peavey. Any suggestions.

I'd suggest checking back a few days here, I saw a few decent guitar combos listed under $200.

Keep your eyes open for a Music Man 210 amp. Killer sound and you can usually pick these up for about $200 to $300. +1 also for keeping tabs on Craigslist-Chicago. A lot of stuff gets posted every day.
