Bar Rock Cover Band Repetoire

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Everyone

So I recently got asked to join a cover band, to act as a house band for a local bar. Two weekends a month, decent money and it's in town. Only thing is they dont have an established repetoire and they're asking for input.

I came from a jazz/reggae/world music kinda background and havnt done many rock cover gigs. What kinda tunes do you guys find interesting to play, as well as interesting for the audience?? Any major hits I should play, despite what my own "tastes" might think??

Thanks

EDIT: sorry shoulda pointed out, we're all in our mid to late 20's. Prob plan on playing some 90's rock stuff. STP, soundgarden, pearl jam an that.

I've heard that Frankie Teardrop is always a crowd pleaser...
