OK, let's see. The body is lighter than the neck. Can you say neck dive? Now, Fender custom built it for her, but she's getting a new pickguard. Also, the S-1 switch changes it from one pickup to two pickups, so that's very cool. And it's white.

Now, there's something about those glissandos that make me feel all tingly in the groinal area.

They must hold blood sacrifices in their basement or something.

It's called hormones, people. They control us, not the other way around. It's completely natural.

While you can't really tell it from that video, they are quite talented and are a fairly big deal in Christian music. My kids like them alot and they are good roll models for my gu*tar playing daughter.

I don't get the "creepy" comments about their website - to each his own.

If you haven't heard their music give it a chance you might end up liking it.

I have their first album. Very good. I like the positive message in their music. They're not too preachy either.

That video isn't working for some reason...the page is white and never loads or anything.
I tried to watch some of the other videos to hear what they sound like, but all I could hear was a lot of preaching and stuff. Not that I have a problem with it, but I'm jewish so I guess I don't feel the connection. What's that video in the link about?

A girl showing and talking about a bass, supposedly her own, and also displaying a lack of technical and improvisational skills. It's about nothing, really. Why on earth would anyone find this interesting?

Obviously because it's a female and others like to point and scream whenever they see a female doing something they believe females don't traditionally do.

I have no doubt that the bass belongs to her, why would you? I think it's pretty cool that she has a custom bass. Wish I had one. I'm sure that no one here has EVER misspoken about a technical bass issue.

That video is for their fans - THEY would naturally be interested and not necessarily watching to critique her knowledge or bass playing abilities. Apparently several people find them interesting considering their CD sales.

I wonder if she dressed and acted like a ho if there would be so much smugness directed at her.

?

That came out of nowhere.

I'm not sure if I read his post correctly, but I believe he simply was asking why we would find that video interesting.

Could be wrong though...

Has your memory failed you?

We were all that young at one time....
Hopefully we were as enthusiastic as this young lady and her bass.

I love to see young people try anything. Sure beats doing nothing. I have 2 kids and let them experiment with whatever there mind gets enthralled in. My 11 year old son is in the process of becoming a great sportsmen (and not the bass player I hoped for!!). My 14 yr old daughter has given up 4 years of violin to become a consumate valley girl (Yes, there back!!!)

If they don't try it then thousands of years from now an archeologist will discover a 4 string guitar and everybody would wonder why the strings were so big !!!!

You are incorrect in saying that hormones control us.

As Christians we believe that through prayer God will put the person in our lives that he has chosen for us. They don't feel the need to search. They simply believe that God will bring him to them. My daughters listen to these girls, and I couldn't be more happier with their stance on dating.

I would endorse these girls. I'm glad to see kids listening to things that give them a good example, not the image a lot of musicians give. I wholeheartedly agree with you here.

Cool vid.
I do think she needs to be playing an MM Sterling or Bongo but hey,
as for content, dudes, just 'cuz I'm listening to the greatest CD EVER right now (Bill Evans Trio, Sunday at the Village Vangaurd) doesn't mean that i don't enjoy a little Tool, or my good buddy Aaron Pritchett or the Doodlebops or.... you get my drift.

anywho, no doubt that's alot of fun for their fans and novice players too that might make them want to play even more so kudos to A. and the rest of the Barlows
