Dude, if you're looking into doing journalism you need to fix a few things.

I'm by no means an expert, but I am also looking to go into journalism. My first advice would be to improve your grammar. There are spelling and punctuation mistakes all over the place. It looks a lot more professional when you type correctly. I mentioned this in the other thread, but write more! You're telling us basically nothing on these weird-ass basses! Do a little research and write an article on each one. That'll get you in the right direction.

I appreciate your interest in feedback and your interest in creating a blog about basses. You picked a great looking theme and it works for your topic.

There are several things you might consider as you develop the blog.

1. Basic grammar is important. It speaks to your professionalism as a writer and gives you command of what you want to say.

2. Journalists try not to write their own opinions in published work unless clearly labeling the piece as opinion.

3. Give credit to other people for their creative work. Who took the pictures you've posted? If you did, take credit by using a cut line, i.e., "Photo by...", if you did not, then say who did take them.

Consider giving the standards by which you judge a bass "cool." Is it the style? What about it fits your definition--better yet, an objective definition from someone else.

There is a lot more to work on, but you have the most basic need covered--desire. Drive, heart and desire can go a long way toward helping you achieving your goal.

Good luck.

"Feedback" is one word, which suggests you need to add a spellchecker to your toolbox. It's an interesting blog, and I'll check it out from time to time.

If you want to interest others (particularly those who don't play bass) in your blog, you need to pay close attention to spelling and grammar. The photo credits suggested above are also a good idea. Make sure you don't use any copyrighted photos without permission.

Better question is why wouldn't you give credit to the photographer?

Does everybody do it? No, but that doesn't make it right. Consider how you would feel if you took the pictures and others used them, in a professional setting, as their own.

If you want to be taken seriously as a journalist, ask permission to use the photos and credit them when you use them.

There are lot of 15-year-old students practice ethical journalism in schools around the country. You should see if you have journalism program in your high school and dive in. It can be a lot of fun and a great place to learn some basics.

Keep up the blogging!

The problem is that most photos from the internet don't have sources and I don't know who took them

As a "serious amateur" photographer, I can say "yes!". Just earlier this week I cam across one of my photos being used at a random blog, without credit.

Let's just say it didn't make me feel honored......
