Bass Clipping

Hey i have my set up just like i want it only thing is that when i play fast i hear a clipping noise. The problem goes away when i turn down my treble. Only thing is when i do that my highs dont sound as good. Is there any frequences that i should cut that will get rid of the clippin but still keep my highs loud and clear?

Clipping, or Clicking?

Low frequencies cause clipping not high frequencies.

Clicking or "fret clack" comes from poor technique.
