Question Is bass fun to play?

Sign in to disble this ad
Is the bass fun to play on stage with a band? Most of the time when I listen to music I can't hear the bass.

Also is it boring? I hear some people say it's boring.

You're asking in a bass forum, what do you think the answer will be?

Try it out for yourself to see if you like it.

The thing about bass playing is this: the only people who listen to you play are other bass players, so you can play anything you want. Try it. You'll see.

And, please, tell us how it went.

hahaha ask any bass player to stop playing in a middle of a song.

then you'll start to hear the bass and knows of its importance.
bass is in every kind of music, and i am not talking just about the instrment.

I've actually been playing guitar but I hate it. I hate the chords and all that stuff.

Ah, so you can't play guitar, welcome to the world of bass, find a Jazz, learn how to pluck the E and A strings, join a band, no fun, I know, but you'll be hanging out with musicians, so thats ok, good luck.

Ultimately, bass playing, like anything in life, is was you make of it.

No, it's not fun at all and quite boring! You should take up something useful like the flute or cello. I hear they are looking for members on the flugelhorn forum!
