Is Bass more sexy than g****r?

Lately, in music videos, especially r&b music videos, I see a lot of basses used as furnishing or embraced.

A lot of Fender Jazz Basses.
I think people that work in the music business find the Fender Jazz Bass beautiful and sexy ...
How can I disagree?

Have you had the same impression?

Do you mean physically attractive, or the sounds it produces?

Because this depends on both counts. I've seen some sexy guitars. But as far as the audio goes, that depends on the person. I mean some chicks go for the guitarist (see the Dave Chapell skit on "white people dance to guitar")

Look at RnB/Soul music. The bass plays all these throbbing, slinky bass lines. The guitar goes CHIKKA CHIKKA CHIKKA. What do you think women are going to go for?

Bass is definitely a sexier instrument, no question about it. Just bass in general is damn sexy. Of course, a guitar *can* be smooth and orgasmic too I'm sure, but per capita, the low end wins hands down.

The simple reason is because you FEEL the bass, it goes through you and shakes you to the core. Guitar... yea, you can feel it too, but ultimately it lacks the presence that the bass has.

i just love how people don't think they hear bass when that pulsating, rumbling feeling they're getting when listening to a band play is actually the bass player.

bass is a "felt" instrument as i like to call it and therefore is much more intimate for the listeners. take songs like "sexual healing" and such. nice smooth cool basslines. no random hacking away chords with a pick for me. i like to get down and groove.
