I got the idea for this thread after I wrote a free verse poem about music. It's a thread to post anything about music or bass or anything really. Poetry related to music, songs about music, stories, anything. I'll start with two poems I wrote

My Vessel

Music is my vessel
The people are my sea
Fame's the name of my voyage
From key to shining key

The strings under my fingers
Take me to a special place
I depart from my world I live in
To fly through outer space

Each note leads me to a new land
A new place to go explore
The music is my vessel
To take me from these shores


And here's a free verse I wrote

We speak
Intimate conversations
Shared between lovers
I say
And she says back
I cry
And she sheds the same tear as I
I scream with rage
And she screams back
Louder than I
Her words
Are not audible
But speak volumes
I hold her
Every curve of her body
Every blemish
Is a sign of beauty
Every scar
Is a memory
But she is mine
And I am hers
I feel her words
They pour from her lips
The intimate sounds she makes
Every sudden movement
She makes me flow
As if we are one
We converse
We talk
She leads
I follow
I am not her creator
Nor her master
I simply allow her
To let her voice be heard
