I saw Bob at The Musicians Flea Market up here in Buffalo on Sunday.. He's still in business and can be reached at his e-mail (newbasspalace@aol.com).. I got to hang with him for alittle bit and he looked good, healthier and happier.. He may be looking for a new location and will probably be working on a smaller scale... I was glad to see him, it's been awhile.. He's been spending more time enjoying life and getting alot of those other things/projects done.. |

He'd lost interest in the boutique stuff, and the vintage was becoming a)hard to find and b)outrageously priced, even on the wholesale side, that it was just becoming a headache to him fielding a few hundred emails per day, probably just as many voice mails, and still having to make the rounds on the show circuit.
edit: This was at the Arlington '05 show, appx. 18 months ago, and one hell of a drive from his base in Pennsylvania.
