Bass pedals...?

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok. Well, recently I've re-picked up my sax and since most of the songs to require some bass support, I looked tword one of my idols: Mike Rutherford. Usually he uses a Moog Taurus; analog bass pedals. It's like organ pedals but only 1 octave. I've been looking for somthing akin to this in a bunch of keyboard places, but can't find anything. Even somthing with MIDI would be ok.

I just must find it...

Check eBay. I see them on there all the time. In fact, saw a bunch while looking for something else just a couple of days ago.

Best of luck!!

You could use something like the Roland PK5 MIDI'd up to a synth of your choice.

I built mine from a set of pedals from an old Hammond M-100 and a Cano Midi-Bass circuit from Cano Electronics. For about $50 I built myself a fairly nice set of midi pedals.

I haven't built an enclosure yet, but you can see them on the lower left here, under the DX-7 and the Korg SG-1D.
