bass player + bass player <3 ?

Just curious. it always seemed that I end up dating a fellow bass player-even before I started playing bass. I always said that it was because you have something in common-even back before I played bass, I still had the love for it. You talk, attraction happens, you hook up.
But sometimes it happened BEFORE they knew I was a bassist. One bass player started flirting with me, from the stage, before he knew and the man I am seeing now, neither one of us knew that we played bass. I walked into his club while they were going on break, and he must of spotted me from stage. He came to my table and started talking to me. He left after about 10 min and then when the band started up, there he was playing bass. We talk about it sometimes and wonder how that came about. He is not the main bassist for his band anymore-plays guitar now, but fills in bass when their bassist has to go home-but we are as happy as can be.
A couple of bassists I went out with said that I was the first fellow bass player that they dated. I couldn't say the same for myself, lol!
Is there anyone else here dating/dated or married to a fellow bass player??

I dated a bass player. She wasn't actively playing in a band when we were going out, but I figured she was really good. She was into metal and when I finally saw her pick up a bass and play something - and I was like... holy crap! It was nice going out with her but it didn't last. we did discuss playing a bit, and basses and I'll say it was nice having that in common.

years later I saw her in the Metallica film Some Kind Of Monster... playing with them.

No wait, I didn't. Although if I do see a girl carrying an oversized gig-bag around town, she immediatley appears much more attractive.
