It's not too bad. Over the last couple years the content has gotten less and less and the magazine has gotten thinner and thinner. Has some good articles and some good information though. I didn't renew my subscription but my instructor gives me his old copies.

If you're paying 20 more dollars, that's quite a bit for a magazine subscription. Just at that price, I would say no. I'm sure there are alternatives that are more cost effective.

I would give Bass Musician Magazine a read, which is completely online and a free subscription. They have a lot of good articles (not just from me) that cover a wide variety.

I like both BASS PLAYER and BASS GUITAR magazines - buy both every month. Also read online mags such as NO TREBLE, BASS MUSICIAN MAGAZINE and others - and spend way too much time on TALK BASS! I think I need help!!!!!

I've subscribed to BP for 15 years. It's interesting. Lately, I think they should change the name to Bass Player Pamphlet, though.

TOTALLY.... Then they released an online version a month or so after it was released to stores
I sub. to it, & here in Aus. it's the ONLY way it's worthwhile IMO.
Good mag tho.
I DO agree that online mags are better quality of late
