Are bass players more prone to OCD?

I've noticed that bass players seem to obsess over trivial crap that does NOT bother the other musicians. Take a look at some of the posts here on TB and you will see what I mean. Some of the things we (myself included) obsess over are just plain stupid So...... What gives? Are bass players more prone to OCD? Share some of the things you obsess over
For me it's the action on my basses I have to constantly fiddle with it, trying to go lower, and lower and lower. Then just when I find the sweat spot, I'll do something to mess it up and have to start all over again

In my band the drummer is the one with OCD. I rather enjoy flying by the seat of my pants.

I am OCD (think of Monk that's me afraid of germs so I got a Purrell bottle on me 24/7 and I like things straight mainly papers in piles) but, not in anyway OCD when it comes to playing bass or anything with music at all.

Music for me is best left untamed I had my 1st bass just set up after buying it stock 3 years ago when I got my ATK I decided it needed one so I brung in my Yamaha too.

As far as OCD goes I tune my basses once a week and play them daily you do the math.

I can only speak from my own experience...and that is a yes. I play in a trio so my parts are less complicated on the account of trying to create a good driving rhythym, so this gives me a chance to listen to the other parts that are being played and pick them apart. I find myself picking out things that I would do differently all the time, but keeping this information to myself - because who wants to be THAT guy.

Maybe this is not OCD at all...

Maybe.... or this is simply a thread where OCD bassists feel compelled to leave a reply.

I most certainly do NOT suffer from OCD. I suffer from CDO. It's similar to OCD but all the letters are in alphabetical order, just they way they should be.

I'm ADD and do not have the attention span to be OCD.

The sweat spot is usually under your arm pits. Just thought I'd save you the trouble of looking.
