Bass Playing and Back Problems.

Okay. 6 months ago I got my back checked for scoliosis and that was before I picked up the bass. I didnt have it. Now I just got checked yesterday, and the doctor says I have a minor case of it. I was wondering if playing bass has anything to do with it.... and if it does, any way to help.

>>> Proper posture, a good strap at the proper height,
a lighter bass with good balance, lighter amplifiers.

Posture counts for alot, also the way you lift and carry.

I was outfitted with orthotics a while back and it has helped me out alot.

Ive got mild scoliosis too, mine's in my neck thougth. Im getting it treated by a physio at the moment. I have to wear this weird electronic strap thing around my back that beeps when i drop my posture. Seems to be working, but its a pain in the clacka

I dont think the bass playing was 100% to blame though, i blame it more on my dirty little internet addiction. Sitting in a chair without a straight back can farg you up if you do it to much.
