Bass-related attractions in Portugal, Spain and France.

Alright.

I'm off to a conference in Portugal next week (the International Congress on Sound and Vibration, in Lisbon.. if any other TB's are going) and then me & my wife will be travelling through Spain and France and ending up in the UK.

What bass-related attractions can I stealthily build into our itinerary along the way? Local luthier visits? Exotic music stores? Performances by local artists? Large bass-shaped land marks?...

Any advice appreciated.

I think JP Basses are located in France (Paris I guess), so maybe you can visit their store, but I'd contact them first. One of the luthiers is a member here, so you can PM him.
