got four tattoos...
but two are related to my love of bass...
the bass guitar with the wings was my design. I wanted my bass tattooed on me, and I took a photo of my bass and drew it out (I also draw-I will have to post some drawings one day) and found the wings on internet and put it behind the bass. Then took it to the tatt artist who re drew it and tatt it on my back.
The one on my ankle was a disappointment at first. I went to have just the bass clefs facing each other and had to draw it out. The stupid guy did it in the colors I wanted, but didn't outline it. He didn't cover it either afterward, and it was a hot day. It ran, due to sweat. Then to top it off, it didn't look like how I drew it. I went back a month later and told him I was mad. I wanted it outlined. "oh we quit doing touch ups and it will cost you $40 b/c we have to open a new needle". grrr. I walked out and then saw a sign that said "name tatts $40 special". I slammed $40 on the counter and said "put Bass Girl on it,and out line it!!!". He seemed mad at me, b/c he used more pressure while tattooing it, b/c it hurt more this time. Then he missed the outline! I mean the pink was on the OUTSIDE in certain areas. This same tattoo artist messed up on my best friend's tatt also, which I designed that too. So when I went to get my bass done on my back, the owner fixed the one on my ankle for me, free. So I had two tatt sessions that day..the whole time he was fixing it, he was saying "I can't believe that moron did that!!!!" He had fired that guy b/c he messed up on too many tatts.
This is what I drew the bass from (my baby!!)
and this folks is what the tattoo looked before it was fixed...sucked!!!

don't take alcohol or any kind of blood thinner(pain killers usually thin blood) you will bleed more during....
I have a clef(among other things) on my leg

But it's a classy tatt I think. Simple, elegant and the bass cleff is awesome. |

In fact, around these parts, you have to sign a statement saying you aren't under the influence before you can even get a tattoo.

they don't have something like that around here, well maybe they do... I always go to the same guy, so I don't have to sign anything anymore... just the usual "coffee with sugar right? have a seat..."

not a good idea at all,, bad advice
please people DO NOT drink ANY alcohol before getting any work done
a,, it does thin the blood
b,, most all of the artists ( pro's that i know anyways, as i have MANY hours in the chair ) will refuse to work on you if you've been drinking
c,, don't take any aspirin, & most pain killers, as it also thins the blood
d,, don't complain that it's painful or that it hurts,,, just man up,, suck it up & do the deed | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
