Bass stand/hanger that attaches to cabinet

Sign in to disble this ad
I saw this on the MF website and it reminded me of a stand/bass hanger that attaches somehow to the side of your cabinet.

I think I saw a thread on here about it a while back, but I can't find it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I could be a helpful tool for gigs.

Check stringswing.com. They have several that attach to your head or cab...

There's the Markbass solution, which is pretty simple and cheap

And if you have an 8X10, or similar large cabinet, with a heavy head on top, there's this

Those are the only ones I remember.

When I had a rig that was tall enough I tied a loop of window chord through the handle on the amp that was just long enough to slip over the headstock of my bass when it was standing on the ground - just slip the loop over the machine heads and let go - trust me it works!!. I got this idea from a comedy act who were on the UK cabaret circuit a few years ago - I can't remember but it was either the Rockin' Berries or the New Vaudevillle Band (or was it the Barron Knights?):-)

With a combo, or a rig that's shorter than my Bass, I use a gadget called a JakStand (see the pic) that I got mail order from an ad I saw in Guitar Player many years ago - and I've never seen another one since:
