Bass Player Magazine Launches Internet Television Site

Bassists now have 24/7 access to video lessons, exclusive interviews, live performances and the latest product and gear reviews

SAN MATEO, CA - - September 12, 2006 - - Music Player Network, the world's leading music instrument publishing company, has partnered with TrueFire TV, a major Internet TV broadcast network, to launch Bass Player TV (www.bassplayer.tv), the first Internet-based TV station for bass players.

The premier of Bass Player TV (www.bassplayer.tv) features exclusive content from Flea, who walks bassists through the bass lines on the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s new hit album, Stadium Arcadium. BPTV also showcases content from Jeff Berlin, Paul Jackson, Steve Bailey and live footage from their signature event, Bass Player Live!

“We’re thrilled to have Bass Player TV as part of what we offer,” says Bass Player Editor-in-Chief Bill Leigh. “The content we already have is exciting, and the possibilities are endless. We’ve been hipping bassists to fascinating new artists, teaching them about their gear, and helping them become better players for over 17 years. BPTV expands our ability to reach out to all types of bass players and fulfill our mandate as the trusted bass authority to inform and inspire.”

Bass Player TV joins Music Player Network’s Guitar Player TV (www.guitarplayertv.com) and Keyboard TV (www.keyboardmag.tv) which now serve thousands of keyboard and guitar-centric lessons, performances, interviews and gear videos to viewers from over 125 countries.

Sounds cool. But I'd be willing to bet it's not as good as one would think it might be.

Hasn't this been around for a while? I remember seeing it about 6 months ago when I was checking out their site. Seems like they have added a bit more, but it's mainly the same as when I looked at it.
