Angry BassGirls Thread Removed

I've been a member of TalkBass for over a year now. I also edit BassGirls online magazine.

Tonight I posted a new thread informing members that our September issue is now online. My main reason for doing this was that a link from this forum brought the highest number of visitors to read our bass magazine last month.

From our statistics for August 2006:

which links are sending visitors our way? Take a look….

01. talkbass.com - 561
02. sputnikmusic.com - 245
03. profile.myspace.com - 174
04. blog.myspace.com - 153
05. bulletin.myspace.com – 116
06. musiker-board.de - 103
07. rebeccajuliabrown.com - 99
08. uglybassplayer.com - 92
09. vintagebass.com - 96
10. answerbus.com – 82

Sorry dude, but this is also against the rules. Something about questioning a mods authority should be done via pm. Good luck to ya though, and try not to be so um... confrontational; it doens't alsways get what you want.

I would suggest editing your post before a mod has seen it or you might get a little vacation from TB.

If your original post had been asking for feedback, comments, or the like I'm sure the Major would not have locked it. He is a stand up guy and a great mod.

Allow me to step in here. I will edit the original post so that the offending questioning of a mod is gone (I do this because I think this discussion is necessary).

Someone reported your post as spam, and the thread was deleted. I would not have considered the link as spam (you're not selling anything), and it's bass related. I will reinstate the thread, and lock this thread so we all understand each other.

However, read the rules about questioning mods in public because in the future, it will earn you a vacation. Use PM instead.
