I've been a subscriber since the min-90's, and wasn't able to contact them when it became obvious I didn't get the last issue. I still want to get a copy, as I have all the other issues. Anyway, this should be the place to call:

email: ron@fingerstyleguitar.com
Ron's the guy who was behind Bassics.

Wednesday I emailed the subscriptions address about my outstanding Bassics subscription. The office manager replied within 24 hours saying, "I will get back to you as soon as possible as to the status of Bassics Magazine."
That's all. She didn't outright say Bassics was gone.
She replied in a timely manner. The website shows that there is life at the publishing company again. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Fingers crossed. |

Phooey! I don't expect a refund, I think they would have been proactive about that, but I asked them if they will refund or fulfill my subscription with Fingerstyle Guitar Mag... we'll see. |

| | | | I made a subscription in July 2009. I haven't received any magazines, most of my emails are not answered. I have been in contact with the new owners for 6 months and my emails are just forwarded to other people. They said that they will refund me but nothing has happened. All the contacts are on my initiative. I think this is a fraud and someone lucky is enjoying life with my $129.95.
Is it possible to report them? I live in Sweden so I have no idea what to do. The whole thing just pisses me off, lose my money, time and energy. :-( |

Bassics probably knew they were closing when they took your money. I can't remember when the 3rd issue of my 6 issue subscription arrived. Perhaps another TB subscriber can fill in the blank here ________?
FWIW, the State of New York has Consumer Protection laws. Here is a link to the Consumer Complaint Form; http://www.nysconsumer.gov/complaint.htm
Patience. This could take a long time, if it works at all. Good luck.
