Subtle...lol

Natrix is a genus of colubrid snakes. There are between 65 and 80 species in the genus. They are collectively called grass snakes and water snakes.

Very nice critters snakeman. what's the 4th one down ?
Is your Jungle crossed with a Diamond ?
In Australia we're only able to keep native species by law.
At the moment I have Bredli's , Diamonds , Jungles , And Antaresia (all pythons).
Also keep various larger skinks & will soon be getting a Black Headed Python.
Like to see a pic of your Dumerils nsmar .

Between myself and my roomate, we have 1 adult male ball python, 1 juvenile everglades rat snake, and 1 northern blue tongue skink. Amongst other things.

I've kept herps for years, and also founded two Herpetological Societies here in Connecticut. I hope to one day publish works on the Northern Pine Snake and the Bullsnake.

Realized I have no pics of the Dumeril's boa..... so I broke out the camera to take some. Quickly remember *why* I have no pics of the Dumerils....... He just will not hold still! Always lookin for the next place to slither to. Very hard to hold a snake and a camera at the same time! The only way I got shots was to put on my bass and let him wrap around the tuners, then click away as he headed for somewhere else......But, here they are: (I don't think his spectacle shed properly, will have to see if it fixes itself at next shedding)

Here's Daisy (ball python), much easier to take pictures of. The head shot shows the daisy on her head, although as she's growing it's fading.

I've got a Red Eared Slider named Leonardo.

(Prize is teh interwebz if you can guess where I got that.)

He's as old as I am. (16)

He loves it when I play my bass, And I have a sneaking suspicion that all other reptiles do as well.

I bought a ball python in 2002, named her Calypso, and was content.

I met my girlfriend in August 2003, after a deployment, and was content.

Calypso was my girlfriend's "gateway drug" and now she has 11 or 12 ball pythons, including a few het for various traits, an albino, and a dwarf ball python (named "Special"). She recently traded away her carpet pythons to focus on breeding one species...

...And she goes through snakes (trades and sales) faster than I do basses...

This is very cool.
I don't know any other musicians in Australia that are into reptiles , let alone the Bass playing variety of musician.

I'll post a pic or 2 of some of my snakes sometime.
By the way i have a website.
Cheers,
Steve
