Bassists who love them drums

I am a much better bassist, but 50.01% of the time I enjoy playing drums more. Anyone else feel me on that?

I realized a Pork Pie Acyrlic is a bit too much for me so it's going on ebay soon. Here's my new sexy drumset and the pork pie. Yes....that's carpet on the toms.

I love playing drums, I try and spend as much time playing them at rehearsal as I can. When the band is taking a break, I tend to get on the kit and jam out. My drummer has agreed to teach me some drums and I'm going to teach him to play bass some more. We already do a bit of switching on stage, but because he's so busy with school and stuff, I'm also going to be subbing on drums for gigs he can't take once I get up to speed.

I love playing the drums. I've played both for different bands. I'm way more comfortable "jamming" on drums, but I think I'm a better bassist.

Carpet? What's that do? Does it just look cool or does it change the sound?

I definitely feel like I naturally take to drums better than the bass.

There's no room to mess up chord changes/improvising on the drums. It's nonexistent. Know the form and give it texture.

air drum....a lot

that's how i learned in the beginning.

I think i'm actually a better drummer than a bassist...pretty sad since i've only been drumming for less than a year.

Hi.

The drums are good, it's when the drumming stops....

That's a terrible thing

Have a set in my den. play 'em all the time.

drums rock. I try my best to emulate hip hop patterns...minimal, but fun...then sample that playing, and build tracks off it.

Drums are fun for a little bit but they don't even come close to bass, for me.

I suck at kits, but I enjoy hand drums.

Honestly, playing Rock Band on my 360 allowed me to get used to the limb independence.

i'm getting ready to buy my first kit in a few days, i just think the physical motion of playing drums is so much fun.

i also feel a lot more naturally talented at drums than bass.

I'm pretty good on the Rock Band kit, does that count?...

In all seriousness, bass is my first love, but drums are a close second. My roommate is teaching me drums in exchange for bass lessons from me, and we've been switching a lot more in practice lately despite the fact that I look like a retarded gorilla when I try to play his set...

My first band I was in I was the drummer... and I still play the drums often, but I have a great friend who is an awesome drummer. He makes me look bad... Very bad.

I've had offers to play behind the kit a few times, but nah... I'm a Bassist first, for sure... BASS 4 LIFE!!!!

Besides, when I lock in with my drummer friend... powerful stuff...

What brand are the new drums? I can't figure it out. Opaque black acrylic drums are BA!

I've been drumming for a bit longer than I've been playing bass. Even though I'm drumming in my current band, I still feel like I'm very slightly more a bassist than a drummer.

Here's my current kit. The 14" floor and 12" toms were reciently stolen from me though, so I'm currently doing some drum-related soul seeking to figure out what where I'm going from here, kitwise. Anyways, these are RMVs, sweet drums from Brazil which are no longer available here in the US (which sucks, I can't replace the drums I lost!).
