I do prefer/feel more comfortable on bass though.

I may just end up plugging my bass into a crappy little guitar amp I have and just playing it at low level through that. |

Went looking for a guitar / keyboard player for a band and realized that combination was rare. So I decided to brush off the guitar skills and learn keys. I haven't touched my bass in about a month except to play at chruch and that doesn't take too much as I've been playing those songs for years.

But I'd suspect that most members here relate to the first category. I know I do. That being said, I wouldn't mind taking the guitar once again while still playing bas as my main instrument.

But most people play what they love most the most.
Bass sounds 'special'. Kinda like a good drummer that tickles you with the groove... there's a feel with a bass . . . even when you just tune up - you know the groove is on it's way. It can come from other instruments but bass is it.
I haven't tried DB yet but I know the resonance and other factors may only intensify my love for the low end
