Go. Anyone who has played for forty years has no excuse to suck. And even if he's just pretty good, you saw one of the original Beatles.

Doesn't sound like there's a downside.

Definitely go hear and experience Pete Best. He was fired from the band just as the Beatles started recording in '62.. If I had that chance, I'd be so stoked to see him perform.. go for it man.

Edit: They were already BIG stars by 1963

Pete Best recorded a cool tune called "The Way I Feel About You" labelled as Best of the Beatles.
I'd definately check him out.

Just got back from the show, he had another drummer, two Rickenbacker style guitars, although I could not tell exactly what they were, and a semi acoustic bass, almost felt like listening to the early Beatles in Liverpool which is what they were trying for, and it worked..although I could not help but feel a little sad for someone still rideing, I'm a Ex-Beatle gig for so long, but I really enjoyed the show.

They kicked this guy out for RINGO STAR!?!?!?! He must suck then. They always said ringo was the forth best drummer in the band.

As long as he didn't sing "Yellow Submarine" or "Boys", I'm sure it was a great show

With the english accents I could not understand the names when they introduced the band, I have never heard of John Rutsey,so I am not sure if he was there or not I just Googled John Rutsey, and no he was not there....

It was actually his big brother who came up with the name "Rush"!
