becoming a bass instructor?

Sign in to disble this ad
ok so im applying for this job at a local music store, and im really applying for being a cashier, stock, normal stuff like that, BUT:
i really feel as though i could become a bass guitar instructor. nothing super complex, but ive taken a class on theory, and ive been practicing nearly everyday for 3 years. seeing as i taught myself how to play, i feel like i would know exactly what a beginning bass player would need to learn.

the only thing is... like dont you need some sorta official teaching credential or something? i dunno, even though im confident in my abilities, im not sure they would go for hiring an 18 year old to teach bass. i know it sounds kinda strange, but i feel like id be so proud to actually have a position helping people learn.

get back to me, id really like to see how it might work.
