Becoming a "Record" Producer or Audio Engineer

Sign in to disble this ad
So here's the thing:

Im going to be off to college in a year or two, and I would like to get a degree in music for a major, with learning to produce music (maybe not records, but just like single song) and I would just like to learn it as a skill or just something to learn in my spare time.

so are there certain college's or schools I could go to to learn this?

Berklee College of Music - Music Production & Engineering...

Once you are accepted to Berklee for your principle instrument (I assume that will be Bass), you then need to be accepted into the MP&E Program... They pretty much cover all of that in there...

You can also do Music Synthesis (which is what I did) which covers a lot of the MP&E stuff and more...

There are other schools... But I gotta plug my alma mater...

Any place you are thinking of going to?
