bed bugs in equipment?

Sign in to disble this ad
I occasionally play with a group at a church service downtown at a local missions. We showed up Saturday night to play and were told that the stage was being remodeled and the show was canceled. The mission had been experiencing a bed bug problem so they were removing all the carpeting from the building including the stage.

This got me to thinking about my equipment. Can bed bugs infest the carpet on my cabinet or the material on my gig bag? What preventative measures should I take? Thanks!

vacuum all around ....espeically the seams of gigbags and cabs thats where they usually hide (adults,nymphs,larava,eggs)....a proper way to kill them is to steam them with a portable steamer but i Would NOT recommend to do since it can release the carpet from the glue etc. But a good vacuum should do just fine.
