Behringer TU100 Pedal Tuner

Alrighty I've noticed a few people are enquiring as to the quality of these pedals so I thought i'd post my experience with them.....

THEY..... ARE...... ****.....

Bought one last week, used it for one jam, it died. Returned it a few days later for a replacement(thought I might be unlucky) but after using the new one for about an hour in last sunday's jam it died mid song AGAIN! I'm returning it for credit and never buying Behringer products again......

Hopefully i'll be able to get some cash together to buy the TU2 pedal cos as they say, you get what you pay for.

When you said "it died mid song" you mean you can't shut it off after tuning or you leave it on all the time? A tuner pedal should just be used for tuning and thats it. It's not ment to be left on all the time.

If a pedal is not true bypass, you have no choice about leaving it on all the time or not--if the pedal fails or loses power, there goes your entire signal. Since the TU100 isn't true bypass, if the pedal was to fail for some reason, it kills everything.

What you need to buy is the Planet Waves Pedal Tuner. True Bypass, and all the strobe/sweep tuning you'll ever need for less than a BOSS, which does not have True Bypass.

Or you can get a Peterson Strobostomp. Or be like me and lust after the Peterson 490R Rack Mount Strobe. Sooo sexy, yet so expensive.
