Well i saw them. I'm afraid I can't actually say much due to still being awe struck ... I got loads of pics that'll get up soon! I also recorded Vic's solo which i'll put on youtube or something. I was standing near the front, next to some drunken lady that was dancing all night ... at futuremans side of the stage

Always a good show. Haven't been to Glasgow for a few years now but got a taste at a Robbie Burns night last weekend.

I'm not surprised - nobody over here has really heard of them - I get blank looks to anybody I mention them to - in fact the only UK people who seem to have heard of them are on TB!!

The other thing is that people have said to me - who is Bela Fleck then - and I say - he's a banjo player!!

The looks I have had - a banjo player!!

Banjo is just the most hated instrument in Britain - it's associated with awful "Trad" Jazz bands that play in pubs and free at outdoor events....

Nobody likes "Trad Jazz", who is under 65 years of age!!

I totally agree with you. No one knows who they are that i've spoken to either. Also, the whole banjo image is very true aswell, it has such an 'annoying' image

I love the Flecktones but I also like the old joke:

What's the best pickup for a banjo?

A Ford F150 (that's a somewhat large vehicle for those accross the pond)

I must have been standing right next to you- I was directly behind that woman!

I think that show was basically everything I really love about jazz, actually

What's the definition of a Gentleman?

Someone who knows how to play the banjo...but doesn't!

What's perfect pitch on the banjo?

When you throw it straight into the dumpster without hitting the sides.

Whats the difference between an banjo and a trampoline?

You take your shoes off when you jump on a trampoline!
