| Bending a stand?

Anyone have any idea if I would succeed in bending the
U holders of this stand? http://www.music123.com/Pinnacle-Dou...d-i16103.music
The type of bass I want to put on this stand - a Sinsonido - has a very small head, but there's enough of a head to lay in a stand - IF I can bend the U holder.
Any thoughts?
