best acoustic guitar for the money

I'm looking for an all solid wood guitar with excellent construction quality and great sound that's easy on the wallet. I'm geared more towards a scooped sound since i'll be strumming mostly. Thanks!

P.S. It doesn't have to be a taylor, martin, breedlove, larrivee, etc. But i do expect the guitar to be high tier like the taylor 514ce or a martin DG16.

I had a $400 takamine cutaway. do not remember the model but it was by far a great guitar for the money. My friend has it know and it is his most used guitar.
