There's so many bands that are influenced by them, so I have to ask, what bands you guys think is the best while patenting their sound with the legenday band? Here's my top two:

1) Cheap Trick
2) Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)

Good call on ELO.

I always thought that the Jellyfish had a great sound and they were obviously very Beatles-influenced.

Oh yes, Jellyfish, great band. How about Split Enz and Crowded House. It's time to download some tunes.

All things considered, few bands over the last 30 years were NOT influenced by them.

That being said, you might as well ask "what bands you guys think is the best"....a completely subjective question that has no good answer. There is no "best" when it comes to bands.

I'm going to go with bands that were influenced by The Beatles and also used their sound to a good extent:

ELO, Queen, Jellyfish

That's my knee-jerk response, I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Black Sabbath.

Type O Negative.

Maybe not what you were intending, but both bands were influenced by the Beatles.

Klaatu - Some people actually thought this band was The Beatles in disguise for some reason.

The Smithereens - They even did two Beatles tribute CDs.

Alice Cooper claims The Beatles as a major influence.

Any band after 1964!

Doesn't matter if you dig their style or not. Every Band since has been influenced by the Beatles rather they wanted to be or not. Recording industry, Fashon, etc. If your a pro in the industry, you can look around and see their impact still today.

God Bless, Ray

The Beach Boys - Brian Wilson

I had read about this a long time ago...here's a source:

" Wilson acknowledged that the American version of Rubber Soul challenged him to make Pet Sounds"...

That's right on the money.
Any band who writes their own material is influenced by the Beatles.
And all rock that deviates from the original blues + country synthesis flows from "Rubber Soul", "Revolver" and finally "Sgt. Pepper." (With help from Bob Dylan.)

You can even go so far as saying "Modern" male vocal groups are influenced. Especially with the matching suits thing.

Can't escape their influence.

It'd be like saying an electric bassist isn't influenced by James Jamerson. When you use the ol' lowest common denominator everybody is influenced by Jamerson.

God Bless, Ray

Absolutely. And I have read quotes from Lennon and McCartney that they were keeping their eyes (and ears) on the Beach Boys as well, evidenced by the bridge on "Back In The USSR," and the sweeping songscape albums in the spirit of Pet Sounds.

Yes.

Jon Anderson and His buddies were unashamedly influenced by The Beatles.

They covered 'Every Little Thing' on their debut, and 'I'm Down' Live in the Seventies.

The harmonies and melodies are similar as well.
