One guitar forum that I've always liked has been the Fenderforum.

The regulars there are very knowledgeable about their gear, and are very willing to help anyone that has a question.
When I was looking to buy a Telecaster, the information I gleaned just from reading there made me end up buying a G&L Tribute ASAT, which were highly recommended by more than a few members at the site.
The info and recommendations I read were true; the G&L Tributes are exceptional values.
The forum reminds me of Talkbass, in that mostly everyone there is knowledgeable and courteous, and they have Mods there too, so no one can get too far out-of-line.
