Best Keyboard for Stage I need a new keyboard. It cannot cost thousands and thousands of dollars. I would say maybe $1,500.00 US is about the limit. I need SOLID organ sounds, and effects. I need touch response piano and electric piano sounds. I need to be able to have synth, preferably with sampling ability, so I can duplicate certain sounds, and it would be nice if I had the ability to run sounds into it. I do not need fancy rhythm features. I really wouldn't be using it for pre-programmed drums and beats. Does anyone have any suggestions? |
Nord electro 2 or 3 used. Not sure about the synth capabilities but every time I gig with a keys player with a Nord I love it. |
Any other suggestions/recommendations? |
Here are two I've tried in the past couple of days, and loved: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JunoDi/ http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JunoGi/ Has anyone played with anyone using one of these? |
So I did get this: ![]() and I am very happy with it. It has really improved my life. We don't use keyboards in that many songs, but there are lots of little things it adds, such as the ability to program songs into it, and run my iPod from the keyboard instead of the board. I am running it in stereo, and it's awesome. |
For $1500, get a mac laptop, mainstage 2, and a good controller keyboard. http://www.apple.com/logicpro/mainstage/ I use one of these... http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Axiom61mk2/ http://store.apple.com/us/browse/hom...cid=AOS-US-KWG All the sounds you could ever need. I've been using mainstage (or somewhat closely related variant thereof) for years and I am amazed at what I can get out of it. |
...and Sweetwater is very close to you. They will hook you up. |
